Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating an assistance system (2) of a motor vehicle (1) that is at least partially assisted, comprising the steps of: determining a target trajectory (18) for a partially automated driving maneuver by means of an electronic computing unit (12) of the assistance system (2), wherein the target trajectory (18) has a lateral acceleration component at least in certain regions; determining a system-inherent frictional force (15) of a steering system (13) of the motor vehicle (1) by means of the electronic computing unit (12); determining an assisted lateral acceleration signal (17) for the target trajectory (18) by means of the electronic computing unit (12); and adapting the assisted lateral acceleration signal (17) as a function of the determined system-inherent frictional force (15) by means of the electronic computing unit (12). The invention further relates to a computer program product and an assistance system (2).
