Abstract
A scanner comprises a base, a measuring head rotatably mounted on the base about a rotational axis and configured to transmit light into a monitoring area and to determine measurement data based on received light from the monitoring area, and a data transmission device for transferring the determined measurement data from the measuring head to the base. The data transmission device includes a radio frequency transmitter for generating electromagnetic radio frequency signals, a transmitting antenna connected to the radio frequency transmitter and permanently attached to the measuring head for transmitting the radio frequency signals, and a receiving antenna permanently attached to the base for receiving the transmitted radio frequency signals. The transmitting antenna comprises a planar antenna structure extending in a radiation plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation and designed for radiation of high-frequency signals radially away from the axis of rotation, with the receiving antenna being arranged at a distance from the planar antenna structure in the radiation plane.
