Abstract

The invention relates to a solar cell module comprising a plurality of solar cells, a front cover (1), a rear cover (2), and an encapsulation layer (3) arranged between the front and rear covers (1, 2), wherein the solar cells are embedded in the encapsulation layer (3), with at least one electrically conductive connector (4) which electrically connects a solar cell connection point (A) arranged between the front and rear covers (2) and a rear connection point (B) on the rear side of the solar cell module. Crucially, the connector (4) is arranged extending around an outer edge of the rear cover (2) so that the connector (4) does not penetrate the rear cover (2), and the solar cell module has at least one electrically insulating layer (5) arranged on the side of the connector (4) facing away from the outer edge.The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a solar cell module.
