Abstract

The invention relates to a parking lock (1) for a motor vehicle transmission, comprising a parking lock wheel (5) that is or can be connected to a shaft (3) rotatable about a shaft axis (4) relative to a housing (2) in a rotationally fixed manner. A pawl (6) is provided, which is pivotable about a pivot axis (S) relative to the housing (2) and the parking lock wheel (5) between at least one locked position and at least one unlocked position. In the locked position, the pawl (6) interacts with the parking lock wheel (5), thereby preventing rotation of the parking lock wheel (5) and the shaft (3) about the shaft axis (4) relative to the housing (2). In the unlocked position, the pawl (6) does not interact with the parking lock wheel (5), and rotation of the parking lock wheel (5) and the shaft (4) about the shaft axis (4) relative to the housing (2) is permitted.A ball ramp mechanism (11) is provided for actuating the locking pawl (6).
