Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hoeing blade for an agricultural machine, comprising a base body and a shaft projecting upwards from the base body. Furthermore, the invention relates to a handle for attaching a hoeing blade to an agricultural machine, a tool arrangement for an agricultural machine comprising a hoeing blade and a handle, and an agricultural machine. Hoeing tines are used in agriculture primarily for mechanical weed control through surface cutting. They typically consist of, or are formed by, a V-shaped or triangular base. The flat, V-shaped front edge of the base acts as a blade, cutting weeds and their roots as the tine is driven through the soil. Hoeing tines are typically supported by a handle, which in turn is attached to a piece of agricultural machinery. The handle can be permanently attached to the tine, for example, by welding. There are also tines that are detachably connected to a handle for attachment to agricultural machinery. These tines have a shaft into which a free end of the handle can be inserted. When inserted, the handle section is further secured with separate fixing elements, such as screws. Such a tool arrangement with a tine, shaft, and associated handle is described, for example, in US Patent 5,979,568 A. German patent DE 10 2021 119 921 A1 discloses a further tool arrangement with a hoeing blade and a handle. The hoeing blade has no shank and is characterized by a particularly flat design, especially in terms of overall height. It is detachably fixed to the handle via a plug-and-lock connection without additional, separate fixing elements such as screws or the like. This design offers several advantages. On the one hand, compared to tool arrangements in which the hoeing blade and handle are permanently connected, for example, welded together, it allows the handle, which is typically subject to less wear, to be reused multiple times, thus saving material and costs and increasing efficiency and sustainability. The plug-and-lock connection also enables particularly quick replacement of the hoeing blade, while simultaneously ensuring secure fixation during operation. The familiar tool arrangements with hoe blade and handle have generally proven their worth. However, there is still a need for alternatively designed tool arrangements. It is an object of the present invention to provide an alternatively designed hoeing share that can be mounted or replaced particularly quickly and easily, while simultaneously being as simple to manufacture as possible and enabling particularly safe and sustainable operation. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to provide an associated handle and a tool arrangement for an agricultural machine. The first problem is solved in a hoe share of the type mentioned at the outset by the fact that the shaft has at least one partial fastening receptacle extending through the shaft for receiving a section of a fastening means, in particular a section of a screw or a bolt, for the detachable connection of the shaft to a handle, wherein the at least one partial fastening receptacle is open to two opposite sides of the shaft and to a third side of the shaft connecting the two opposite sides of the shaft. The second problem is solved in the case of a handle of the type mentioned at the outset by the fact that the handle has at least one partial fastening receptacle extending through the handle for receiving a section of a fastening means, in particular a section of a screw, for the detachable connection of the handle to a shaft of a hoe blade, wherein the at least one partial fastening receptacle is open to two opposite sides of the handle and to a third side of the handle connecting the two opposite sides of the handle. The invention further relates to a tool arrangement comprising a hoe blade and a handle according to the invention. Advantageously, the partial fastening receptacle provided in the shaft of the hoe blade and the partial fastening receptacle provided in the handle are arranged such that, when the shaft of the hoe blade is positioned on the handle as intended, the partial fastening receptacle provided in the shaft and the partial fastening receptacle provided in the handle lie next to each other and together form a fastening receptacle for receiving a fastening element, in particular a screw, a bolt, a rivet, or a cotter pin.It has proven particularly advantageous if the (respective) partial fastening receptacle provided in the shaft of the hoe share and the (each) adjacent partial fastening receptacle provided in the handle then (each) together form a cylindrical or cuboid fastening receptacle. The invention also relates to an agricultural machine with at least one hoeing share and / or at least one handle according to the invention. The agricultural machine can comprise at least one tool arrangement according to the invention. In other words, the basic idea of the present invention is to provide, for the detachable fastening of a hoe blade having a shaft to a handle, only one or more partial fastening receptacles in the shaft and the handle, respectively. Each partial fastening receptacle is suitable and designed to receive a fastening element, such as a screw or bolt, only in a section, or partially. Advantageously, each partial fastening receptacle is suitable and designed to receive a fastening element, particularly a cylindrical one, only over a section of its cross-section. A partial fastening receptacle provided in the hoe blade and a partial fastening receptacle provided in the handle can, when used as intended and the shaft and handle are positioned against each other as intended, together form a complete fastening receptacle capable of accommodating, for example, a fastening element that is at least partially cylindrical and / or at least partially cuboid across its entire cross-section. If two or more partial fastening receptacles are provided in the hoe blade and two or more partial fastening receptacles are provided in the handle, the partial fastening receptacles can each form a pair of fastening receptacles, particularly cylindrical or cuboidal ones.It should be noted that a complete fastener receptacle formed by two partial fastener receptacles is expediently designed to accommodate a fastener across its entire cross-section. However, this does not necessarily apply to the length of a fastener, such as a screw, bolt, rivet, or cotter pin. It is quite possible, and generally advantageous, for the length of the partial fastener receptacles, and thus the length of a complete fastener receptacle formed by them, to be less than the length of a fastener used and inserted into the fastener receptacle. The fastener can then protrude from the fastener receptacle on one or both sides, and a fixing element, e.g., a nut, can be placed, in particular screwed, onto the protruding longitudinal section. The invention offers several advantages. Firstly, compared to tool arrangements where the hoe blade and handle are permanently connected, for example, welded together, it allows the handle, which is typically subject to less wear, to be reused multiple times, with only the detachably attached hoe blade needing to be replaced. This saves material and costs, resulting in good economic efficiency and sustainability. Since the hoe blade and handle are not welded together in the invention, a manufacturing step, as well as material, and therefore time and again costs, can be saved. It also enables the complete tempering of the individual components and increases wear resistance. Furthermore, it allows for pairings of hoe blades and handles made of different materials. High-alloy steels, for example, are generally difficult to weld, as are wear-resistant cast materials.Within the scope of the present invention, for example, a handle made of tempered steel can be easily combined with a hoe blade made of a cast material. It has been shown that the hoeing share and the handle according to the invention, with the partial fastening means open to a third side, can be manufactured in a particularly easy way, thus optimizing time and cost efficiency. Furthermore, repair and replacement times can be minimized because the inventive hoeing share or tool arrangement enables particularly easy and quick mounting and dismounting of the hoeing share on and from a handle. Only at least one fastening element, such as a screw, needs to be loosened. The particularly quick and convenient changeover resulting from the inventive design offers a significant advantage not only when one or more hoeing shares need to be replaced due to wear. It also makes it possible to use hoeing shares of different geometries, such as different working widths and / or angles of attack, with great flexibility. The at least one partial fastening receptacle provided in the shaft of the hoe blade or the handle is, in particular, a recess in the shaft or handle that extends over the entire length of the shaft or handle in one direction, approximately over the entire thickness of the shaft or handle. It may, in particular, be a recess that extends to an edge of the shaft or handle. The respective partial fastening element receptacle is open on two opposite sides of the shaft or stem. In other words, it defines an opening on each of the two opposite sides of the shaft or stem. The two opposite openings of the respective partial fastening element receptacle are advantageously aligned. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment, they may have the same shape and / or size. One can also say that the (respective) partial fastening receptacle is a groove or a laterally open (partial) through-hole, whereby the term bore refers only to the shape, not the manufacturing method, so, for example, a recess extending through the shaft or handle, such as a groove, which is introduced directly into the shaft of the hoe share or the handle as part of a casting process, can also be understood as a through-hole. It has proven particularly advantageous if the at least one partial fastening receptacle is designed in a cylindrical segment shape with two circular segment-shaped openings, one of which is located on each of the two opposite sides of the shaft or stem. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the at least one partial fastening receptacle (of the shaft or stem) is designed in a semi-cylindrical shape with two semi-circular openings, one of which is located on each of the two opposite sides of the shaft or stem. Two cylindrical segment-shaped, e.g., semi-cylindrical, partial fastening receptacles lying next to each other when the hoe share or its shaft is positioned on the handle as intended can then form a fastening receptacle that is cylindrical and can accommodate a cylindrical fastening element, such as a screw or bolt or rivet or cotter pin, or accommodates it in the mounted state of the hoe share. Alternatively or additionally, in addition to the fact that the or at least one partial fastening device receptacle is designed in a cylindrical segment shape with two circular segment-shaped openings, it can also be provided that the or at least one partial fastening device receptacle is designed in a cuboid shape with two rectangular openings, one of which is located on each of the two opposite sides of the shaft or stem. Two adjacent, cuboid-shaped partial fastening receptacles on the handle, when the hoe blade or shaft is positioned as intended, can then combine to form a fastening receptacle, which is also cuboid. A fastening element can be inserted into such a receptacle, provided it is at least partially cuboid, i.e., has a rectangular cross-section in at least some sections. A carriage bolt is a purely illustrative example in this context. The at least one partial fastening receptacle of the hoe blade and / or handle can furthermore have a third opening on the third side of the shaft or handle, extending from one of the two opposite sides of the shaft or handle, in particular from one of the two opposite openings of the partial fastening receptacle to the other. It is also possible that the third opening of the (respective) partial fastener receptacle is oriented transversely, in particular orthogonally, to the two opposing openings of the (respective) partial fastener receptacle. It has also proven particularly advantageous if the shaft of the hoe blade according to the invention has at least two, and in particular exactly two, partial fastening receptacles. This can apply analogously to the handle according to the invention. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the at least two partial fastening receptacles is located on one of two opposite sides of the shaft or handle. One partial fastening receptacle can then be arranged, for example, on or near a front side and one partial fastening receptacle on or near a rear side of the shaft or handle. This has proven to be particularly advantageous for the shaft of the hoe blade according to the invention. If not just one, but two partial fastening receptacles are provided in the shaft of the hoe share and the handle, a particularly reliable detachable connection can be achieved with reasonable manufacturing effort. If two or more partial fastening receptacles are provided in the shaft of the hoe blade, these can, in a suitably developed embodiment, have the same shape and / or the same size and / or be aligned in one direction. The same can alternatively or additionally apply if two or more partial fastening receptacles are provided in a handle according to the invention. It has proven particularly advantageous, especially for achieving a particularly reliable detachable connection between the shaft and handle, if several, and in particular exactly two, partial fastening receptacles provided in the shaft of the hoe blade are aligned in a direction transverse, and in particular orthogonal, to the direction in which the shaft projects from the base body. Similarly, with regard to the handle according to the invention, it can be advantageously assumed that several, and in particular exactly two, partial fastening receptacles provided in the handle are aligned in a direction that is oriented transversely, and in particular orthogonally, to the longitudinal axis of the handle. Another embodiment of the hoeing share according to the invention is further characterized in that the at least one partial fastening receptacle is arranged on an edge of the hoeing share's shaft. Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that, in the handle according to the invention, the at least one partial fastening receptacle is arranged on an edge of the handle. It can also be provided that the (respective) partial fastening receptacle extends from the (respective) opening on the third side of the shaft into the shaft in a direction that is oriented transversely, in particular orthogonally, to the direction in which the shaft projects from the base body. Another embodiment of the hoeing share and / or the handle according to the invention may further be characterized in that the hoeing share or the handle is manufactured by casting. The handle can be cut from flat steel, particularly sheet steel, preferably by laser cutting. The handle can consist of, or comprise, one or more alloyed heat-treatable steels. Apart from the subsequent hardening and tempering, no further processing steps are required, in particular no drilling, CNC machining, bending, etc. Depending on the shank length of the hoe blade, it is also possible that the handle is only laser-cut and not heat-treated. In this case, laser cutting would have the advantage that the edges cut by the laser are directly hardened by the laser itself. Powder metallurgical manufacturing processes, such as 3D printing, have also proven effective as further manufacturing methods for handles and / or hoe blades. It is also conceivable that the handle and / or the hoe blade are forged components. Alternatively or additionally, the hoe blade or handle can comprise or be made of metal, which has proven particularly suitable because high wear resistance can be achieved at reasonable costs. With regard to the hoe blade in particular, it has proven especially suitable if it comprises or is made of a wear-resistant cast alloy. This can be, in particular, wear-resistant cast iron, preferably wear-resistant white cast iron. The at least one alloy from which a hoe blade according to the invention is made or which comprises a hoe blade according to the invention can, in an advantageous embodiment, further be an alloy comprising iron, nickel, and chromium, and optionally other components. Wear-resistant white chromium-nickel cast iron has proven to be particularly suitable. Preferably with a nickel content of 5 wt.% and a chromium content of 9 wt.%.-% or a nickel content of 4 wt.% and a chromium content of 2 wt.%. The hoe blade according to the invention, for example its base body and / or shaft, can in particular consist of a wear-resistant cast alloy according to DIN EN 12513:2011-05-00 and / or ASTM A532 / A532M-10(2019) and / or DIN 1695:1981-09-00, or comprise at least one such alloy. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, it can be wear-resistant white chromium-nickel cast iron according to DIN EN 12513:2011-05-00. The hoe blade and / or the handle according to the invention are preferably formed in one piece. Another advantageous embodiment of the handle according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a shaft receptacle for receiving at least one section, in particular a free end section of the shaft, of a hoe blade according to the invention. All the features described above in connection with a shaft receptacle provided in the handle can also be implemented in the case that the hoe share, in particular its shaft, has a shaft receptacle for a shaft, in particular a free end section. In a further development, the hoeing tine according to the invention can be characterized by having a blade that is at least substantially V-shaped on its front side. Preferably, the base body of the hoeing tine has a blade that is at least substantially V-shaped on its front side. It may be provided that the shaft of the hoe share according to the invention projects from a flat upper surface of the base body, in particular orthogonally or obliquely. Regarding the dimensions of the hoe blade's shaft, it can be assumed that it has a length in the range of 20 mm to 150 mm, particularly in the range of 40 mm to 80 mm. The length refers specifically to the extension of the shaft in the direction in which it projects upwards from the base body. Alternatively or additionally, the shaft may be characterized by a width at its free end in the range of 10 mm to 100 mm, preferably in the range of 20 mm to 60 mm. If a shaft receptacle is provided in the stem, its width may also be within this range. The material thickness of at least one section of the shaft can, for example, be in the range of 5 mm to 25 mm, and in particular in the range of 7 mm to 15 mm. The same applies alternatively or additionally to the handle according to the invention. This preferably applies at least to that free end region of the handle against which the shaft of the hoeing share according to the invention rests when positioned as intended. It can also be provided that the handle has a material thickness, in other words, a constant thickness, over its entire length, particularly in the aforementioned region. The handle according to the invention may further include one or more fastening receptacles for receiving a fastening element, such as a screw or a bolt, for the detachable attachment of the handle to an agricultural machine. The respective partial fastening receptacle(s) provided in the handle according to the invention may be located at or near one end of the handle, and one or more fastening receptacles for the detachable connection of the handle to an agricultural machine may be located at or near another end of the handle opposite this end. Advantageously, when the shank of the hoe blade is positioned correctly on the handle, there is no overlap between the shank and handle in the direction of the material thickness, in other words, in the direction of the thickness of the shank and handle. This allows for a particularly thin and consistent material thickness of the tool assembly in the area where a detachable connection is achieved according to the invention. It may be stipulated that, at least for one section of the shaft, the material thickness is a maximum of 20%, and in particular a maximum of 10%, above or below the material thickness of at least one section of the handle, or that it is equal to it. Preferably, this applies at least to sections of the shaft and handle that are in contact with each other during intended use. In a further embodiment, the tool arrangement according to the invention can comprise at least one fastening element, in particular at least one screw and / or at least one bolt. The respective fastening element(s) preferably extend through both a partial fastening element receptacle in the shaft and an adjacent partial fastening element receptacle in the handle, thus establishing a releasable connection between the shaft and handle. A reliable connection can be achieved with just one fastening element and one pair of partial fastening element receptacles in the shaft and handle. However, it has proven particularly advantageous to provide two pairs of adjacent partial fastening element receptacles in the shaft and handle, through each of which a fastening element, for example a screw, extends. Furthermore, one or more washers can be used on both the nut side and the head side of an inserted screw to ensure a particularly reliable fit. The tool arrangement according to the invention can therefore also include one or more washers. A tool arrangement according to the invention can comprise a hoe blade and a handle according to the invention, each with the features described above. All of the features described above can be implemented individually or in any combination for both the hoe blade and the handle. If a shaft receptacle for receiving a section of the shaft of the hoe share is provided in the handle of a tool arrangement according to the invention, in a further advantageous embodiment, the at least one partial fastening means receptacle provided in the shaft of the hoe share extends completely into that section of the shaft which can be inserted into or is inserted into the shaft receptacle. Finally, the present invention relates to an agricultural machine comprising at least one hoe blade and / or at least one handle according to the invention. The hoe blade 2 according to the invention comprises a substantially V-shaped base body 4 with a V-shaped blade 5 at its front. A shaft 7 projects vertically upwards from a flat upper surface 6 (see Fig. 3) of the base body 2, which slopes downwards towards the front. The hoe share 2 according to the invention can be manufactured by a casting process and may, for example, consist of a wear-resistant cast alloy comprising iron, nickel, and chromium, or at least comprise such an alloy. Wear-resistant cast alloys according to DIN EN 12513:2011-05-00 and / or ASTM A532 / A532M-10(2019) and / or DIN 1695:1981-09-00 have proven to be particularly suitable. It should be noted that, in its basic form and over large parts of its extent, the hoe share 2 according to the invention can, in principle, be designed in the same way as conventional hoe shares known from the prior art. Each of the two partial fastening receptacles 8 is open to two opposite sides 7a, 7b of the shaft 7 and to a third side 7c or 7d of the shaft 7, which connects the two opposite sides 7a, 7b of the shaft 7. Side 7c is the front of the shaft 7, which, when the hoeing share 2 is used as intended, first comes into contact with the soil to be worked, and side 7d is the back of the shaft 7. In the illustrated embodiment, exactly two partial fastening receptacles 8 are provided in the handle 3, analogous to the hoe blade 2.
