Abstract

The vehicle communication system (2) according to the invention comprises a bus system (2.0) with a plurality of bus participants (2.1 to 2.n) which are interconnected via the bus system (2.0), and a bus control unit (4) which controls the communication between the bus participants (2.1 to 2.n), wherein an estimation unit (12) is provided which comprises at least one model (12.0) to which at least one bus parameter (104) can be supplied or is supplied as input (E1, E2), wherein the model (12.0) is configured to estimate a future bus utilization (L+1, L+2, L+m) on a future bus system (2.0) on the basis of the inputs (E1, E2) of the at least one bus parameter (104) of the bus system (2.0).
