Anode-free lithium secondary battery with double-coated anode current collector

Abstract

Disclosed is an anode-free lithium secondary battery with an anode current collector having a double coating layer, wherein the anode-free lithium secondary battery comprises a cathode active material, a separator and an electrolyte between a cathode current collector and the anode current collector, wherein the anode current collector is coated with an artificial SEI layer containing a metal, and a natural solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film is formed on the anode current collector by the reaction of at least part of the artificial SEI layer with the electrolyte when the anode-free lithium secondary battery is first charged.
