Wind turbine

Abstract

A wind turbine (1), particularly for use on ships, comprises at least one horizontally mounted Flettner rotor (2), a support system (3) on which the at least one Flettner rotor (2) is movable, and a platform (4) on which the support system (3) is mounted. The support system (3) comprises two linear supports (5, 6) whose inclination is adjustable and which are connected to each other by means of at least one further support element (7). Up and down movement of the Flettner rotor (2) on the support system (3) is permitted along a forced circular path, and a device for reversing the direction of rotation (8) of the Flettner rotor (2) exists between the first and the second support (5, 6). The platform (4) on which the support system (3) is mounted is rotatable by at least 180°, and in particular, without limitation.
