Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining a target frequency (132) characteristic of a state of a battery unit (104), the method comprising the following steps: - specifying a phase (134); - exciting the battery unit (104) with a first excitation signal having a first frequency (138); - receiving a first response signal from the battery unit (104); - determining a first phase shift (140) based on the first excitation signal and the first response signal; - exciting the battery unit (104) with a second excitation signal having a second frequency (144); - receiving a second response signal from the battery unit (104); - determining a second phase shift (146) based on the second excitation signal and the second response signal;- Determining a target frequency (132) assigned to the specified phase (134), taking into account whether the specified phase (134) lies between the first phase shift (140) and the second phase shift (146). The invention further relates to a corresponding control system and computer program.
