Abstract

The present invention relates to a coupling device (4) for uncoupling vehicles. The coupling device (4) comprises an actuating device (28) adapted to move a locking device into an unlocked or locked state, at least one manually operable control unit (12) assigned to the vehicle for generating a uncoupling request (EAnf) and for supplying current to the actuating device (28), a communication and control unit (36) via which the actuating device (28) can be controlled, a processing unit (32) which, based on the uncoupling request (EAnf) of an operating element (16) of the control unit (12) and a uncoupling request (EAnf) of an adjacent vehicle to be uncoupled, provides an uncoupling signal (ESig) for the communication and control unit (36), and a power source (24) for supplying the actuating device (28).
