Abstract

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a wood-plastic component (1) in which: - a wood layer (2) of the wood-plastic component (1) is coated on at least one side with a protective layer (4) against moisture, with the exception of an edge-side joining zone (3); - the wood layer (2) in the edge-side joining zone (3) is covered with a plastic edging (5); - a seal (7) is arranged in a transition area (6) between the edging (5) and the protective layer (4).
