[0006] The invention relates to a paint sprayer, in particular a portable paint sprayer, and a method for operating and transporting a portable paint sprayer.
[0007] A paint sprayer according to one aspect of the invention comprises a motor with a gearbox and a fluid inlet line coupled to the motor. The fluid inlet line includes an inlet end configured to be immersed in a paint container. The paint sprayer further comprises an outlet port in fluid connection with the fluid inlet line and a carriage unit that supports the motor and the fluid inlet line.The cart comprises a frame with a pair of spaced-apart legs located at the lower part of the frame and configured to support the cart unit in an upright position; a telescopic handle located at the upper part of the frame and movable between a retracted and an extended handle position; an upper bracket projecting from the telescopic handle and configured to accommodate the first portion of a coiled flexible hose; and a telescopic support located between the lower and upper parts of the frame and movable between a retracted and an extended support position.
