Abstract

Joining device (10) for joining a first component (11) with a second component (18) by introducing an intermediate material (19), comprising: a mechanical arrangement with a press punch (17) and a counterholder (12), at least one ultrasonic test element (14) which is received in a recess of the counterholder (12), wherein the ultrasonic test element (14) has an elastic contact surface made of polymeric material, and a preloading device (16), in particular a spring arrangement which preloads the ultrasonic test element against a component surface.
