Abstract
PTC semiconductor ceramic composition, wherein the PTC semiconductor ceramic composition comprises a BaTiO3-based compound according to the following formula (I) as the main component: [Ba1-(c+s)p(BicBs)pCau][Tit-a-mAaMnm]O3+z(I) where B is at least one element from the group of alkali metals, where A is at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Nb and Ta, and where the variables c, s, p, u, t, a, m and z are defined as follows and expressed in mol: 0.4 <c<0,60,5<s<1,00,1<p<0,20≤u<0,010,9889<t<1,030<a<0,0060≤m<0,0010<z<0,07;wobei s > c applies; and wherein the PTC semiconductor ceramic composition comprises: v mol Si, w mol S and x mol Y, where the variables v, w and x are defined as follows: v=0 w=0 x=0; where v, w and x are based on 1 mol of the Ba site of the BaTiO3-based compound according to formula (I).
