Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cylindrical battery cell (10).The method comprises the following steps: providing a cell housing (12) with two cell openings (14, 16), wherein a jelly roll (20) is located in the cell housing (12); performing an injection operation on the cylindrical battery cell (10), comprising injecting an electrolyte (18) into the cell housing (12) through one cell opening (14) of the cell openings (14, 16) and aspirating (28) the cell housing (12) through a second cell opening (16) of the cell openings (14, 16); closing the first cell opening (14) or the second cell opening (16) of the cell openings (14, 16) of the cell housing (12); performing a forming operation on the cylindrical battery cell (10), comprising aspirating (28) the cell housing (12) through the first cell opening (14) or the second cell opening (16) of the cell housing (12); and closing the first cell opening (14) or the second cell opening (16) of the cell casing (12).
