Abstract

In a target device (100) for firing with long or short firearms, with at least one upright target (110, 120) capable of withstanding conventional hunting or sporting projectiles, the following is achieved by arranging targets (110, 120) in pairs, which are coupled to a common rotatably mounted shaft (130) via a respective coupling device (111, 121), and by the kinetic energy absorbed upon impact of a projectile on a first target (110) is transferred from a vertical position to a horizontal position by means of a rotation of the shaft (130) and simultaneously the second target (120) is transferred from a horizontal position to a vertical position by means of the rotation of the shaft (130), thus ensuring that the bullet-resistant targets (110,120) after being tipped from a vertical position to a horizontal position by impact of a projectile, automatically right itself again to a vertical position.
