Abstract

A system (500) for adjusting the gas pressure of at least one tire (110, 120, 130, 140) of a vehicle (100) is presented. The system comprises: - at least one gas tank (510, 512); - an inflation line (520); - a gas discharge line (530); - first (550) and second (560) controllable valve arrangements designed to regulate a gas flow through one or more than one of the inflation line (520) and the gas discharge line (530); and - a control unit (580) designed to: - maintain a desired gas pressure Pdeszu; - maintain a current gas pressure Pcurzu. and-- if Pcur< Pdes, to control the first controllable valve arrangement (550) and the second controllable valve arrangement (560) such that an inflation gas flow (525) inflates the at least one tire, or, if Pcur> Pdes, such that a gas discharge flow (535) discharges gas from the at least one tire.
