Abstract

An energy storage system comprises a plurality of energy storage units, each comprising a plurality of battery packs, and a current collector unit connected to each of the energy storage units to perform current collection. Each energy storage unit has a first circuit breaker and is connected to the current collector unit via the first circuit breaker. The current collector unit is integrated into a first energy storage unit from the group of energy storage units, has a second circuit breaker for connecting to each of the second energy storage units except the first energy storage unit from the group of energy storage units, is connected to the second energy storage units via the first and second circuit breakers, and is connected to the first energy storage unit via the first circuit breaker.
