Vehicle network system and control methods of a vehicle network system

Abstract

A vehicle network system (100) containing mutually communicative control devices (10 to 19) is provided. The control devices include an administrative target control device (14 to 19) that holds cluster information specifying a cluster to which the administrative target control device belongs, among a plurality of clusters, which are subdivisions, and which enters an active state in response to an activation message from another control device containing active cluster information specifying the cluster to be active, corresponding to the cluster specified by the cluster information; and a manager control device that has a function for modifying the administrative target cluster information of the control device.The manager control device transmits the activation message to activate the management target control device before transmitting a change message to modify the cluster information of the management target control device.
