Pulse Width Modulation Dimming in a Light Diode Driver

Abstract

A device includes a sample-and-hold circuit with one input and one output. A switching converter has one output and one amplifier. The amplifier has a first and a second input. The output of the switching converter is coupled to the input of the sample-and-hold circuit. A switching circuit has a first switch input, a first switch output, and a second switch output. The first switch output is coupled to the first input of the amplifier, and the second switch output is coupled to the second input of the amplifier. The first switch input is coupled to the output of the sample-and-hold circuit.
