SHIELDING FOR A BEARING, BEARING AND METHOD FOR FITTING A SHIELDING INTO A BEARING

Abstract

The present disclosure provides a shield for a bearing, comprising: a crimped structure extending from a body of the shield, and comprising: a shoulder contact section for contacting an outer surface of a shoulder of a bearing ring; and a twisted section coupled to the shoulder contact section; wherein the twisted section has an end near the shoulder contact section, a cross-section of the twisted section has a twisted shape, and an included angle between a line L1 from a geometric center of the twisted shape to the end and a ray L2 extending from the geometric center in a radial direction to the shield body is ≥ 20°. The invention further relates to a bearing comprising the shield and a method for fitting the shield into a bearing.The shield described in this disclosure can be mounted in the bearing with improved retention, and the shield will neither loosen nor fall out even under the influence of vibrations, shocks, or temperature cycling stresses occurring in the bearing. At the same time, the bearing can be provided with a larger internal volume, and the risk of radial deformation of the bearing can be reduced.
