Abstract

A method (1000) for the additive manufacturing of metallic components using a multi-beam device for generating multiple beams, comprising a first beam unit (LE 1) and a second beam unit (LE 2), comprises the following steps: generating (1100) a layer comprising a raw material powder, exposing (1210) the layer with a first beam (S1) of the multi-beam device generated by the first beam unit (LE 1) along a curve (K), and temporally offsetting (1220) the layer with a second beam (S2) of the multi-beam device synchronized relative to the first beam (S1) along the curve (K), such that a distance (Δx1, Δy1, delta t1) between the second beam (S2) and the first beam (S1) along the curve (K) deviates at least sectionally by a maximum of 10%, preferably by a maximum of 5% or even by a maximum of 2% from a target value (SW) for this, and the raw material powder at least melts section by section along the curve (K).
