COMPRESSOR WITH CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATE REMAINING COMPRESSION WORK

Abstract

A compressor (10) has a chassis (12) and a working tool (18). The compressor has a drive source (26) configured to drive the working tool across the work surface (30). The compressor has a sensor (100) that determines the compaction value of the work surface, as well as a control system (40) with a processor (90). The processor receives a target compaction value and a current compaction value from the sensor. The processor determines the required number of compression passes of the compressor across the work surface to achieve the target compaction value, based at least on the current compaction value and the target compaction value. The processor displays an indicator on a screen (84) that indicates the required number of compression passes.In addition, the processor adjusts an operating parameter of the compressor so that the remaining power in the drive source is sufficient for the compressor to perform the required number of compression cycles.
