SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO FACILITATE OPTIMAL TRAILER WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

A vehicle connected to a trailer is disclosed. The vehicle may include a first measuring unit and a processor. The first measuring unit can measure the vehicle's orientation. The processor can receive a first input from the first measuring unit and a second input from a second measuring unit configured to measure the trailer's orientation. Based on the first and second inputs, the processor can calculate an angle of inclination between a trailer hitch and a trailer drawbar. The vehicle may be connected to the trailer via the trailer hitch and the trailer drawbar.Furthermore, the processor can determine, based on the tilt angle, that a load distribution on the trailer does not correspond to a predefined optimal weight distribution, and issue a notification in response to the determination that the load distribution on the trailer does not correspond to the predefined optimal weight distribution.
