Abstract
A display device can have a light emission device (300) in an emission region (REA, BEA2) of a device substrate (100). The light emission device (300) can have a first electrode (310), a light emission unit (320), and a second electrode (330) stacked sequentially on the device substrate (100). The light emission unit (320) can have a first emission stack (321) and a second emission stack (323) on top of the first emission stack (321) with a charge generation layer (322) between them. A planarization layer (130) can be arranged between the device substrate (100) and the first electrode (310) and can have a separation trench (ST) extending in a first direction (X) outside the emission region (REA, BEA2). The charge generation layer (322) may be separated by the separation trench (ST).A side face of the charge-generating layer (322), extending in a second direction (Y) orthogonal to the first direction (X), can be covered by the first or second emission stack (321, 323). Thus, in the display device, the leakage current due to the charge-generating layer (322) can be prevented or suppressed.
