Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a disengaging device comprising the following features: a first shaft capable of rotation; a second shaft capable of rotation coaxially with the first shaft; a first clutch disc coupled to the first shaft; a second clutch disc coupled to the second shaft; a ball ramp mechanism configured to engage and disengage the first and second clutch discs; and a stop pin configured to halt the first shaft when the first and second clutch discs are disengaged. Accordingly, rotation of the first shaft, which is deactivated during a switch from a four-wheel drive mode to a two-wheel drive mode, is immediately halted, thereby improving fuel efficiency and power efficiency.
