Abstract

A control device 21 is provided that is capable of counteracting wheel slippage in walking mode. A control device 21 for a human-powered vehicle 1 includes a control unit 21b configured to control a transmission 17 and a motor 19a that supplies an assisting force to the human-powered vehicle 1. The control unit 21b controls the transmission 17 such that the ratio between the total number of teeth of a rear sprocket 16e of the human-powered vehicle 1 and the total number of teeth of a front sprocket 16d of the human-powered vehicle 1 is reduced when a wheel slippage condition meets a predetermined condition in walking mode, in which the motor 19a can be driven by actuation of a user-operated control unit.
