Abstract

A vehicle camera comprises a lens tube, an imaging element, a printed circuit board, a housing that supports the lens tube and accommodates the imaging element and the printed circuit board, and a planar element located between a second end section of a first tubular section of the lens tube and a first surface of the printed circuit board. The planar element comprises a third surface, a fourth surface, and a light-transmitting aperture. The light-transmitting aperture includes an inner surface of the planar element that connects the third and fourth surfaces of the planar element. Incident light striking the first lens passes through the second lens and the light-transmitting aperture and reaches the imaging element, with the outermost portion of the incident light passing through a side closer to the optical axis than the inner surface of the planar element.
