Abstract

In a vehicle control device, a processor remotely controls a vehicle to lock the vehicle's engine start by sending a signal to the vehicle to activate its immobilizer when the vehicle meets a predetermined engine start blocking requirement. The processor remotely controls the vehicle to release the engine start block by sending a signal to the vehicle to release the immobilizer activation when it detects engine start block release request information. The release request information includes at least one of the following: information about the vehicle's usage period and information about the vehicle's destination.
