VEHICLE CONSOLE WITH STOREABLE LID

Abstract

A vehicle console can include a housing comprising side walls defining a storage compartment and a top access opening, and a lid coupled to the housing via a pair of pivoting brackets. The lid is movable between a closed position, covering the top access opening, and an open position, exposing the side top access opening. A pair of rails is provided on the lid. A pair of slides is coupled to one end of the pair of pivoting brackets and engages within the pair of rails, configured to allow the lid to slide from an upward-facing vertical position to a downward-facing stowed position in the open position.
