Abstract

An angle impact tool comprises a housing that includes a handle area extending in a front-back direction, a motor housing area located in front of the handle area and having a battery holding area located behind the handle area and removably holding a battery pack, a motor located inside the motor housing area and having a rotor that is rotatable about a first axis of rotation extending in the front-back direction by an electrical power supplied by the battery pack, and an impact mechanism that converts a continuous torque input from the motor into successive rotary impacts that can generate a tightening torque of 275 Nm or greater on a tightening component.The striking mechanism comprises a spindle extending along a second axis of rotation extending in an up-down direction, an anvil located below the spindle and having at its lower end a tip tool holding area having a wrench size of 3 / 8 inch or larger and 7 / 8 inch or smaller in a cross-section perpendicular to the second axis of rotation, a hammer rotatable about the second axis of rotation while moving in the up-down direction with respect to the spindle and striking the anvil in a rotational direction, and a spring biasing the hammer toward the anvil.
