Abstract

A method comprises determining a first slip angle of at least one wheel of a vehicle, determining whether the first slip angle is greater than or equal to a first slip angle threshold, and, in response to a determination that the first slip angle is greater than or equal to the first slip angle threshold, controlling at least one aspect of a steering system of the vehicle to maintain a steering angle. The method also comprises determining a second slip angle of the at least one wheel of the vehicle, determining whether the second slip angle is greater than or equal to a second slip angle threshold, and, in response to a determination that the second slip angle is greater than or equal to the second slip angle threshold, controlling the at least one aspect of the steering system of the vehicle to decrease the steering angle.
