Abstract

A dust collector comprises a body housing with a housing intake opening, a motor assembly located inside the body housing comprising a fan wheel and a motor that rotates the fan wheel and generates suction at the housing intake opening, and an obstruction prevention area that prevents the housing intake opening from becoming blocked. The obstruction prevention area comprises a wall region that is at least partially arranged around the housing intake opening and a ventilation area provided in the wall region.
