BACKREST

Abstract

A backrest (3) comprises a frame (4) forming a framework and an element (5) attached to the frame (4) and designed to support a sitter. The element (5) comprises a main element (10) located in a central section in the direction of the seat width and two side elements (20) located on either side of the main element (10). Each of the side elements (20) has a side support element (21). A side support element (21) of at least one of the two side elements (20) comprises an airbag device (6) which inflates forward from it. The side support element (21) of the side element (20) in which the airbag device (6) is arranged is provided with a through-hole (21a) through which the airbag device (6) passes inwards when the airbag device (6) is attached to the frame (4).An extension section (30) with a locking section (31) designed to engage with a bracket (45) which supports a headrest bracket (7) mounted on the frame (4) is formed on an upper section of the side support element (21).
