Abstract

A method and device for coupling a steering column to a housing are disclosed. An exemplary device disclosed in this document includes a bracket attached to a steering column assembly, the bracket comprising a mounting surface, and a housing comprising projections extending from a housing surface of the housing, the housing surface oriented in the same direction as the mounting surface, the projections comprising first sections and second sections, the first sections extending from the housing surface in a first direction, the second sections extending from the first sections in a second direction different from the first direction, and the second sections of the projections overlapping the mounting surface.
