Pump with two impellers

Abstract

A pump is provided, comprising a housing with a first and a second inlet, as well as a first and a second outlet. The pump includes a first impeller and a second impeller. The pump also includes a first stator connected to the pump housing, a second stator connected to the pump housing, a first rotor connected to the first impeller, and a second rotor connected to the second impeller.The pump includes a control unit that is functionally connected to the first and second stators to selectively control the operation of the first and second stators, the control unit comprising a processor and a memory containing instructions that can be executed by the processor to activate one of the first and second stators to drive the operation of one of the first and second impellers, at least partially based on at least one parameter related to a target flow rate for the pump.
