DOUBLE-PULL LOCKING LOCK FOR LOCKING PLATE

Abstract

A locking mechanism operated by a double actuation of a pawl (14). A detent (12) is movable between a primary locked position, a secondary locked position, and an open position and is biased towards the open position to allow movement of a locking bolt in a fish-mouth of the locking mechanism towards the secondary locked position; wherein the pawl is movable between a primary locked position, a secondary locked position, and an unlocked position and biased towards the detent, wherein the pawl has a pawl locking surface for engaging with a primary locking surface on the detent to hold the detent in the primary locked position and for engaging with a secondary locking surface on the detent to hold the detent in the secondary locked position;a locking lever which is biased towards an actuated position and has an undercut contour for engagement with the pawl to coordinate the movement of the pawl during the first actuation and second actuation of the double actuation.
