Plug connection

Abstract

The invention relates to a plug connection comprising a plug and a mating plug that can be coupled to the plug, wherein: - the plug has a plug housing (100) with a first coding element (130) and a second coding element (140), and the plug housing (100) is designed to be inserted into a receiving opening (210) of a mating plug housing (200) designed for coupling the plug to the mating plug; - the mating plug has the mating plug housing (200) with a first counter-coding element (230) corresponding to the first coding element (130) and a second counter-coding element (240) corresponding to the second coding element (140), and the receiving opening (210); and - the plug can only be coupled to the mating plug in a predetermined orientation in which the respective coding element (130, 140) engages with the respective counter-coding element (230, 240); and - the respective coding element (130, 140) as a rib (131,141) is formed and the respective counter-coding element (230, 240) is formed as a groove (231, 241).
