Abstract
A positioning element covering the outer circumferential surface of a stator of a motor-driven compressor has several projections extending towards a motor mounting surface and a first slot formed between two first end faces facing each other circumferentially. An intermediate element is positioned between a first housing section and the positioning element and extends circumferentially. The intermediate element has a second slot formed between two second end faces facing each other circumferentially. A positioning recess is formed in an inner circumferential section of the first housing section by recessing a portion of the inner circumferential section circumferentially towards an end opposite an open end.The inserted element has a positioning tab that extends from at least one of the second end faces in such a way as to be positioned within the positioning recess.
