The construction machine (100) further comprises a plurality of drive devices (162) configured to drive the construction machine (100) on a work surface (108). The construction machine (100) further comprises one or more non-combustible energy sources (164') configured to supply energy to at least one of the one or more ground-engaging tools (130) and the plurality of drive devices (162). The one or more non-combustible energy sources (164') are positioned on the frame (124) according to a desired weight distribution over the construction machine (100).
