Abstract

A method for manufacturing an inductor module comprises providing an inductor having a conductor with a first end projecting from a first principal face of a magnetic core and a second end projecting from a second principal face of the magnetic core opposite the first principal face; inserting the second end of the conductor into an opening of a metal clamp, the metal clamp having a base with the opening receiving the second end of the conductor and a first leg extending from the base along a first side face of the magnetic core; and, when the second end of the conductor is inserted into the opening of the metal clamp, deforming the second end so that the inductor can move freely along an axis parallel to the first leg of the metal clamp.
