Knife guard

Abstract

A knife guard for holding a cutting blade provides a receiving space into which the cutting blade can be inserted and which is completely enclosed by a cover section that replicates the shape of a knife. The cover section is designed to surround the cutting edge of the received cutting blade on the outside. In addition, the knife guard has a fastening structure for attaching the knife guard to the cutting blade and a surrounding section positioned opposite the cover section and extending away from it, on which at least two handles are formed for manually carrying the knife guard when the cutting blade is inserted.
