Abstract
Systems and methods for writing telemetry data into packets are described. These systems and methods include processing a packet header, where the header contains a Destination Internet Protocol (DIP) address field with a plurality of microsegment identifier (uSID) fields; shifting the plurality of uSIDs to change a segment (DIP) of the DIP address field; and, after shifting the plurality of uSIDs, writing telemetry data into the DIP address field in the packet header.
