Lighting device with fluorescent element and optical system

Abstract

Lighting device (1) comprising: a phosphor element (4) for converting pump light to converted light, a pump light source (5) with an emission surface (2) for pump light which, with respect to the emission surface (2), has a main propagation direction (3) formed as the center of gravity according to the power of propagation directions, wherein the emission surface (2) of the pump light is arranged in a plane with the surface of the phosphor element (4) such that the phosphor element (4) is not directly illuminated by the pump light source, and a transparent body (6) which is arranged above the phosphor element (4) and the pump light source (5), wherein the transparent body (6) has a curved reflective surface (7) which is designed to deflect at least a part of the pump light propagating in the main propagation direction (3) in such a way as tothat it strikes the phosphor element (4) with a directional component opposite to the main direction of propagation (3), whereby the phosphor element (4) then emits converted light with a directional component oriented parallel to the main direction of propagation (3) and is thus operated in reflection.
