Abstract

Device (110) comprising: a protocol logic (124) operating in accordance with a protocol defined by a serial interface standard; a signaling logic (122) sending signals representing data or commands to a first physical layer (PHY) (126) in accordance with the protocol; and the first PHY (126) coupled to the signaling logic, wherein the first PHY (126) sends: a first packet containing first data; a packet delimiter sequence with a packet delimiter quick (PDQ) that separates the first packet from a second packet;and the second packet containing second data, wherein the first PHY (126) sends the first packet, the PDQ and the second packet without transitioning to a low power state (LPS), and wherein the first packet comprises a long packet having a long packet (LP) format, and the second packet comprises a short packet having a short packet (SP) format.
