Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the position or angle of a headrest. State of the art
[0002] Generally, a vehicle headrest is installed at the top of a seatback to serve as a cushion that comfortably supports a passenger's head during normal use and prevents neck injuries and the like by overextending the neck backward in an accident. With conventional headrests, the position of the head can be adjusted by rotating or tilting a headrest cushion, which supports the head in a comfortable manner for the passenger.
[0003] Conventional headrests are described, for example, in KR 10 1 171 234 B1 (hereinafter referred to as "Patent Document 1"), KR 10 1 044 067 B1 (hereinafter referred to as "Patent Document 2"), KR 10 1 071 615 B1 (hereinafter referred to as "Patent Document 3"), and KR 10 0 982 796 B1 (hereinafter referred to as "Patent Document 4"). Further headrest adjustment devices are disclosed in WO 2013 / 077 649 A1, WO 2008 / 111 721 A1, KR 10 2011 0 029 766 A, and DE 10 2012 221 577 A1.
[0004] A headrest tilting device is disclosed in Patent Document 1. The headrest moving device of Patent Document 1 includes a first linking member mounted on the support rod of a headrest, second and third linking members rotatably mounted on the first linking member, a fourth linking member rotatably mounted on the second and third linking members, and an operating member, one end of which is rotatably connected to one of the first linking member and the third linking member, and the other end of which is rotatably connected to one of the fourth and second linking members. The operating member comprises a rod having at least one notch, and a guide has a first through-hole through which the rod passes. A sliding member is slidably mounted in the guide, which has a second through-hole into which the rod is inserted.and which is inserted into or separated from the notches to control the movement of the rod in the guide; further, a spring is provided that exerts an elastic force on the sliding element. However, the headrest moving device in Patent Document 1 must include first to fourth connecting elements because a cover or sheath is attached to the fourth connecting element. Thus, a significant number of components are required; problems arise in that assembly is difficult, and the device is heavy and requires high manufacturing costs.
[0005] A device for folding a headrest is described in Patent Document 2; it includes a ratchet element axially coupled to a horizontal part of a support rod, and a rotating element having axial holes formed in the lower portions of two plates, into which the horizontal part is inserted, so that an inner surface of one of the plates contacts the ratchet element. Furthermore, a return spring is coupled to the horizontal part to be inserted between an inner surface of the ratchet element and an inner surface of the other plate of the rotating element. The return spring has an inner end engaged with the ratchet element and an outer end engaged with the rotating element, so that an elastic force is exerted to fold the rotating element downward. A braking element is axially coupled to a fixing shaft. Both ends of which are attached to the upper portions of the two plates positioned directly above the ratchet member to brake the rotating member so that it is upright when engaged with the ratchet member, and to fold the rotating member downward by the elastic force of the return spring when disengaged from the ratchet member. A brake spring is coupled to the fixing shaft, one end of which is engaged with the brake member and the other end of which is engaged with the rotating member to maintain an engaged state of the ratchet member, and a release member that releases the engaged state of the brake member. The headrest in Patent Document 2 rotates around the horizontal part of the support rod. The headrest in Patent Document 2 separately includes a horizontal part and a vertical part of the support rod.The headrest is assembled with the support rod using an axial hole formed on the rotating member so that the horizontal part of the support rod can be inserted therein, and connects the horizontal part to the vertical part after assembly. Therefore, the headrest in Patent Document 2 has an extremely complicated assembly process, cannot be mounted on conventional support rods, and can only have a thin cushion at the front lower edge of the headrest due to an increased distance between the support rod and the front lower edge of the device. Since the headrest in Patent Document 2 must separately include a rotating member connected to the cover, the number of components is increased. Technical problem to be solved
[0006] A technical aim of the present invention is to reduce the number of components, to minimize the distance from the support rod to the front lower edge of the device, to simplify the assembly of the device by means of a modularized support and locking element and to improve the operation due to the increased precision of the locking element. Technical solution
[0007] A headrest adjustment device according to the present invention comprises the features of claim 1, inter alia, a headrest cover; a bracket mounted on a support rod; and a locking element built into the bracket for fixing the position of the headrest, and is characterized in that the headrest cover comprises a support rod connecting part to which the support rod is rotatably connected.
[0008] In the headrest adjusting device according to the present invention, the support rod connecting part has a through hole into which the support rod is inserted; the headrest cover may be divided into at least a first headrest cover and a second headrest cover, and the through hole may also be divided and formed on the first headrest cover and the second headrest cover.
[0009] In the headrest adjusting device according to the present invention, the locking member comprises a guide rod pivotally mounted in the bracket, a sliding member slidably mounted on the guide rod, and a locking device that allows the sliding member to move or not move on the guide rod.
[0010] In the headrest adjusting device according to the present invention, it is further provided that the locking device comprises at least one notch formed in the guide rod and a movable element which is slidably mounted on the sliding element and has a catching part which can be inserted into the notches.
[0011] In the headrest adjustment device according to the present invention, it is further preferably provided that the sliding element contains a sliding recess in which the movable element slides, wherein either the movable element or the sliding element has a hook and the other of these two elements has an elongated hole into which the hook is inserted.
[0012] Finally, in the headrest adjusting device according to the present invention, it may preferably be provided that the support rod connecting part has a through hole into which the support rod is inserted, and the support rod connecting part may include at least one partition part so that the through hole communicates with the outside. [0024] When an element is described as being “connected” to another element, this should be understood to mean that the element is directly connected to another element or that another element may be inserted in between. First embodiment
[0025] A headrest adjusting device according to a first embodiment of the present invention is a device for folding a headrest.
[0026] As in Fig. 1 to 11, the headrest adjusting device according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes a headrest cover 200, a bracket 300 mounted on a support rod 100, and a locking member disposed in the bracket 300 for fixing a position of the headrest, and the headrest cover 200 includes a support rod connecting part to which the support rod 100 is rotatably coupled.
[0027] Hereinafter, the transverse direction of a vehicle is referred to as the lateral direction, the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is referred to as the front-rear direction, and the vertical direction of the vehicle is referred to as the vertical direction. Specifically, the side in front of a passenger's head is referred to as the front, and the opposite side is referred to as the rear.
[0028] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, the headrest cover 200 is configured to conform to the shape of a headrest. Within the headrest, the headrest cover 200 is surrounded by a cushion (not shown).
[0029] The headrest cover 200 is made of synthetic resin and is manufactured by injection molding or similar means.
[0030] The headrest cover 200 includes a front surface, a rear surface, an upper surface, a lower surface, and two side surfaces, and covers a second rod 120 of the support rod 100 described below, as well as upper and lower parts and front and rear sides of the locking member.
[0031] As in Fig. As shown in Figures 2 to 5, the support rod 100 includes a first rod 110 arranged vertically and a second rod 120 arranged horizontally at an upper portion of the first rod 110 in the lateral direction. The first rod 110 and the second rod 120 can be formed integrally or separately. An inclined portion 111 is formed at the upper end of the first rod 110 so that the second rod 120 is arranged in front of the first rod 110.
[0032] The headrest cover 200 is divided into at least a first headrest cover 210 and a second headrest cover 220.
[0033] The first headrest cover 210 is arranged in front of the second headrest cover 220. That is, a front surface of the headrest cover 200 is formed on the first headrest cover 210, and a rear surface of the headrest cover 200 is formed on the second headrest cover 220. Upper and lower surfaces and side surfaces of the headrest cover 200 are formed on only one of the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220, or separately on both sides.
[0034] Each of the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220 is integrally molded.
[0035] The support rod connecting part, to which the second rod 120 of the support rod 100 is rotatably connected, is formed in the headrest cover 200. That is, the headrest cover 200 is directly rotatably connected to the support rod 100. As shown in Fig. 9, the support rod 100 is directly connected to the headrest cover 200 such that the distance R2 from the center of the second rod 120 to the front lower edge of the device is shorter than the distance R1 from the center of a second rod of a conventional folding device including a pivot element to a front lower edge of the device.
[0036] The support rod connecting part has a through hole formed to extend therethrough in the lateral direction so that the second rod 120 can be inserted therein.
[0037] The support rod connecting part includes at least one separating part to allow the through-hole to communicate with the outside. The separating part allows the second rod 120 to be inserted into the through-hole, so that the second rod 120 can be connected to the headrest cover 200 without separating the first rod 110 from the second rod 120.
[0038] The support rod connecting part is divided and formed in the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220. That is, the support rod connecting part is divided into a first support rod connecting part 211 and a second support rod connecting part 221. The first support rod connecting part 211 is integrally formed in the first headrest cover 210, and the second support rod connecting part 221 is integrally formed in the second headrest cover 220. The first support rod connecting part 211 is arranged in front of the second rod 120, and the second support rod connecting part 221 is formed behind the second rod 120. Therefore, the support rod connecting part includes two partition parts, and the partition parts are formed in the upper and lower parts of the support rod connecting part. Thus, the through hole is divided and formed in the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220.A part of the through hole formed in the first support rod connecting part 211 has an open back side, and the other part of the through hole formed in the second support rod connecting part 221 has an open front side.
[0039] The first support rod connecting part 211 and the second support rod connecting part 221 are connected to each other when the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220 are connected to each other.
[0040] The support rod connecting parts are formed in the two lower parts of the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220.
[0041] The first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220 include first and second fastening devices 215 and 225, respectively, so that the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220 are connected to each other. A screw is attached to each of the first and second fastening devices 215 and 225.
[0042] The headrest cover 200 includes a sliding member connecting portion formed therein. The sliding member connecting portion is disposed above the support rod connecting portion. The sliding member connecting portion has an insertion recess having one closed side and another open side formed laterally. The sliding member connecting portion allows a sliding member 510, described below, to remain immobile laterally within the headrest cover 200. The vertical cross-section of the insertion recess extending from front to rear has a circular shape.
[0043] The sliding element connecting part is split and formed in the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220. Thus, the sliding element connecting part includes a first sliding element connecting part 212 and a second sliding element connecting part 222. The first sliding element connecting part 212 is arranged in front of the second sliding element connecting part 222.
[0044] The insertion recess is also divided and formed in the first sliding element connecting part 212 and the second sliding element connecting part 222. Thus, one portion of the insertion recess formed in the first sliding element connecting part 212 has an open rear side, and the other portion of the insertion recess formed in the second sliding element connecting part 222 has an open front side.
[0045] The first sliding member connecting part 212 and the second sliding member connecting part 222 are connected to each other when the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220 are connected to each other.
[0046] The sliding element connecting parts are formed in the middle of the two sides of the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220, respectively.
[0047] The headrest cover 200 includes a locking element movement space 223 formed between the sliding element connecting parts on both sides thereof. The locking element movement space 223 encloses the locking element disposed therein, allowing the locking element to rotate smoothly relative to the headrest cover 200.
[0048] The locking element movement space 223 is in the form of a recess with an open front and is formed in the second headrest cover 220. Alternatively, the locking element movement space 223 may be divided and formed in the first headrest cover 210 and the second headrest cover 220.
[0049] In addition, the headrest cover 200 includes a reinforcing rib formed therein in a region that comes into contact with the sliding member 510 when the headrest is upright or folded.
[0050] Notches are formed in the lower surface and the front lower end of the headrest cover 200 so that the first rod 110 can be inserted therein. The notches are formed at both ends of the headrest cover 200. Due to the notches, the headrest cover 200 and the first rod 110 do not interfere with each other when the headrest is folded through the notches. The notches are divided into a first notch 216 formed in the first headrest cover 210 and a second notch 226 formed in the second headrest cover 220.
[0051] Furthermore, a bracket insertion part 219, described below, is formed on the rear side of the first headrest cover 210, into which the front side of the bracket 300 is inserted. The bracket insertion part 219 is arranged between the first support rod connecting parts 211 on both sides of the first headrest cover 210.
[0052] The bracket insertion part 219 includes a bracket insertion recess with an open top and back formed therein, such that the front side of the bracket 300 is inserted therein. The bracket insertion part 219 enables the bracket 300 and the locking element to be easily and temporarily assembled with the first headrest cover 210.
[0053] Furthermore, a button unit mounting part 224 is provided on a side surface of the second headrest cover 220. The button unit mounting part 224 has a through hole for a button unit extending therethrough in the lateral direction.
[0054] The bracket 300 is attached to the center of the upper part of the second rod 120 of the support rod 100. The bracket 300 is made of metal and can be attached to the second rod 120 by welding and the like.
[0055] The bracket 300 includes a bottom plate 310 fixed to the center of the second rod 120 and side plates 321 formed vertically on both sides of the bottom plate 310.
[0056] The bracket 300 is mounted on the second rod 120 such that the base plate 310 is arranged horizontally.
[0057] A second rod mounting part 322, to which the second rod 120 is attached, is provided at the lower end of the bracket 300. The second rod mounting part 322 is formed to pass through the sides. The second rod mounting part 322 is formed in the lower portion of the bottom plate 310 and the lower portions of the side plates 321. That is, the second rod mounting part 322 has open upper and lower portions. Thus, the lower end of the bracket 300 is positioned lower than the upper end of the second rod 120 and higher than the lower end of the second rod 120. Furthermore, the second rod mounting part 322 maximizes the contact area between the bracket 300 and the second rod 120.
[0058] A main spring 600 is arranged on the left side of the bracket 300. The main spring 600 allows the headrest cover 200 to return to its original position (folded position). The main spring 600 includes a coil portion 603 in the form of a coil, a first tip end 601 formed at one end of the coil portion 603, and a second tip end 602 formed at the other end of the coil portion 603. The coil portion 603 is mounted on the second rod 120.
[0059] On the rear side of one of the side plates 321, a second main spring catch 301 is formed to protrude rearward. The second tip end 602 is caught by the second main spring catch 301. The first tip end 601 is caught by a first main spring catch (not shown) provided on the second headrest cover 220.
[0060] First hinge through-holes are formed to extend transversely through the side plates 321 on both sides of the bracket 300. The first hinge through-holes are arranged at a distance above the second rod mounting part 322.
[0061] The locking element is mounted directly in the bracket 300 to fix the position of the headrest. Furthermore, the locking element is tightly mounted in the bracket 300 to increase the precision of the locking element.
[0062] As in the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 and the Fig. 6 to 8, the locking element comprises a guide rod 540 pivotally mounted in the holder 300, wherein the sliding element 510 is slidably mounted on the guide rod 540, and a locking device which enables the sliding element 510 to move or not move on the guide rod 540.
[0063] The locking device according to this embodiment of the present invention includes notches 541 formed on the guide rod 540 and a movable member 520 slidably mounted in the sliding member 510, and a catch 521 for insertion into the notches 541. Alternatively, a locking device as described in Korean Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-0029765 may include a cylinder, a piston, and an opening / closing member.
[0064] The guide rod 540 comprises a rod main body 542 having a polygonal horizontal cross-section and a cylindrical bearing element 543 fixed to the lower end of the rod main body 542 for supporting the bracket.
[0065] On the outer peripheral surface of the rod main body 542, a plurality of fine projections are formed in the vertical direction to minimize friction.
[0066] Furthermore, at least two notches 541 are formed in one side surface of the rod main body 542 at predetermined intervals. The notches 541 are each formed by a horizontal surface and an inclined surface. The headrest adjusting device of the embodiment of the present invention is a device for folding the headrest and thus has two notches 541. The notch 541 that maintains the upright state has an inclined surface located on its upper side, and the notch 541 that maintains the unfolded state has an inclined surface located on its lower side. That is, the notch 541 located in the lower region of the rod main body 542 has an inclined surface located on its upper side, and the notch 541 located in the lower region of the rod main body 542 has an inclined surface located on its lower side.
[0067] The bearing element 543 has a bore extending laterally therethrough. A first and a second hinge through-hole are formed in each of the two side plates of the bracket 300, respectively, and a bearing pin 545 is inserted into the first hinge through-hole and the second hinge through-hole. As a result, the bearing element 543 is rotatably or pivotably mounted with respect to the bracket 300.
[0068] The sliding element 510 has a first through-opening 511 extending vertically into which the rod main body 542 is inserted.
[0069] A cover coupling part 512 is formed in the front lower portion of the sliding member 510. The cover coupling part 512 extends laterally and has a cylindrical shape. Both sides of the cover coupling part 512 are inserted into the first sliding member connecting parts 212 and 222. In this way, the sliding member 510 is rotatably installed in the headrest cover 200.
[0070] The center of the cover coupling part 512 is arranged in front of the first through opening 511.
[0071] Both ends of the cover coupling part 512 are engaged by the first sliding element connecting parts 212 and 222 so that they cannot move laterally.
[0072] When the headrest is in the upright position, a shaft of the cover coupling part 512 is arranged in front of and above the shafts of the second rod 120 and the support pin 545. When the headrest is in the upright position, the upper end of the rod main body 542 is arranged to be inclined rearward from the lower end thereof.
[0073] The sliding element 510 includes a sliding recess 513 in which the movable element 520 slides. The sliding recess 513 extends transversely and has an open side adjacent to a key unit 530 described below, while the opposite side is closed. The sliding recess 513 communicates with the first through-hole 511.
[0074] The sliding member 510 includes two spring insertion parts 519, into which the movable member springs 550 are inserted, which serve to return the movable member 520. The spring insertion parts 519 extend in the transverse direction and are arranged in the sliding recess 513. The two spring insertion parts 519 are located at the front and rear of the sliding recess 513. The spring insertion parts 519 include spring through-holes formed in the transverse direction, through which the movable member springs 550, which are formed as coil springs, extend. The spring insertion parts 519 are arranged at the front and rear of the first through-hole 511. The left ends of the spring insertion parts 519 are separated from the inner wall of the sliding member 510. With the help of the spring insertion parts 519, the springs 550 for the movable element can be stably mounted.Furthermore, the spring insertion parts 519 are spaced from the bottom surface forming the sliding recess 513 and guide the catching part 521 of the movable element 520.
[0075] The left ends of the movable member springs 550 are supported on the inner wall of the sliding member 510. The right ends of the movable member springs 550 are supported by the movable member 520. That is, the movable member springs 550 are arranged between the sliding member 510 and the movable member 520.
[0076] As in Fig. As shown in Fig. 8, a hook 526 is formed on one of the movable member 520 and the sliding member 510, and an elongated hole 518 is formed in the other of these two members. The elongated hole 518 communicates with the sliding recess 513. Alternatively, the elongated hole 518 may be formed so as not to communicate with the sliding recess 513. In the embodiment of the present invention, the hook 526 projects downward from the lower surface of the movable member 520, and the elongated hole 518 is formed in the sliding member 510 in the lateral direction. The elongated hole 518 is formed so as to be continuous in the vertical direction. The elongated hole 518 is formed in a protrusion plate formed by extending the lower end of the sliding member 510 to the right. Therefore, the elongated hole 518 can be easily formed even when the sliding member 510 is injection molded. When the movable member 520 is inserted into the sliding recess 513 during assembly, the hook 526 is inserted into the elongated hole 518. Even if the movable member 520 is subjected to elastic force from the movable member springs 550 through the hook 526 and the elongated hole 518, the movable member 520 cannot move out of the sliding member 510 after assembly.
[0077] The movable element 520 includes the catch part 521 and a spring support part 522 which is arranged to the right of the catch part 521.
[0078] The catch part 521 and the spring support part 522 are inserted into the sliding recess 513.
[0079] The catching part 521 has a vertically extending second through hole 524 into which the rod main body 542 is inserted.
[0080] A reinforcement member 523 is formed in the catching part 521 using an insert injection molding method. Alternatively, the reinforcement member 523 may be assembled with the catching part 521. The catching part 521 may be made of a synthetic resin, and the reinforcement member 523 may be made of a metal. The reinforcement member 523 has a rectangular ring shape to surround the second through-hole 524. At least a portion of the reinforcement member 523 protrudes outward so that the reinforcement member 523 is inserted into the notch 541 and held therein. Preferably, the left inner portion of the reinforcement member 523 protrudes, and the remaining portion is located in the catching part 521, so that the friction between the movable member 520 and the other member can be minimized and the rigidity of the part engaged by the notch 541 can be maximized.
[0081] The spring support part 522 projects beyond the catch part 521, and a left surface of the spring support part 522 is formed flat to support the right end of the spring 550 for the movable element.
[0082] The right surface of the spring support part 522 is also formed flat to easily come into contact with the key unit 530 described below.
[0083] A projection 525 projects upward from the upper end of the right surface of the spring support member 522. The projection 525 is engaged by the sliding element 510.
[0084] The headrest adjusting device of this embodiment of the present invention further includes the button unit 530 so that a user can easily move the movable member 520 outward.
[0085] The key unit 530 includes a bezel 531, a key 534 fitted to the bezel 531, and a key spring 533 for returning the key 534.
[0086] The bezel 531 includes a bezel body 531d and a bezel flange 531e surrounding one end of the bezel body 531d.
[0087] The bezel body 531d includes a support surface for supporting one end of the key spring 533 and a wall surrounding the support surface.
[0088] A key rod guide 531b is formed in the central region of the support surface. The key rod guide 531b includes a guide hole extending laterally therethrough, into which a push rod 534d and a guide element 534c are inserted. The key rod guide 531b allows the key 534 to slide easily against the bezel 531 without twisting relative to the bezel 531.
[0089] In addition, a plurality of fastening elongated holes 531c are formed in the wall, which extend in the lateral direction.
[0090] A plurality of elastically deformable first fastening hooks 531a are formed on the wall. The first fastening hooks 531a are attached to fastening holes (not shown) formed in the first headrest cover 210 or the second headrest cover 220. The first fastening hooks 531a allow the button unit 530 to be easily coupled to the headrest cover 200.
[0091] The button 534 comprises a plate-shaped push element 534a, wherein the push rod 534d protrudes to the left from the push element 534a
[0092] A second mounting hook 534b protrudes to the left from one edge of the push element 534a. The second mounting hook 534b is inserted into a mounting slot 531c. Therefore, the button 534 slides laterally along the bezel 531 and does not protrude from the bezel 531.
[0093] The push rod 534d is not connected to the spring support member 522, but is separated from the spring support member 522. Thus, even when the spring support member 522 moves in the forward-backward direction with respect to the push rod 534d, a user's pushing force is easily transmitted to the movable member 520.
[0094] The guide member 534c projects longitudinally from the outer peripheral surface of the push rod 534d.
[0095] The key spring 533 is arranged between the bezel 531 and the key 534.
[0096] The key spring 533 is a coil spring and is installed so that it surrounds the push rod 534d.
[0097] The outer surface of the key spring 533 is surrounded by a key spring sleeve 532. That is, the key spring sleeve 532 is arranged between the key spring 533 and the bezel body 531d.
[0098] The operation of the embodiment of the present invention having the above-described configuration will be described below.
[0099] When a user presses the button 534 of the button unit 530 to display the Fig. 10, the spring support part 522 of the movable element 520, which is in contact with the push rod 534d of the button 534, is also pressed.
[0100] When the movable member 520 is pushed, the reinforcing member 523 of the catching part 521 inserted into the notch 541 escapes from the notch 541.
[0101] Thus, when the reinforcement member 523 protrudes from the notch 541, the sliding member 510 can move on the rod main body 542. That is, the headrest cover 200 can be rotated around the second rod 120 of the support rod 100. This allows the angle of the headrest to be adjusted.
[0102] When the force pressing the key 534 is removed, the key 534 and the movable member 520 are returned to the original position by the key spring 533 and the movable member springs 550.
[0103] The headrest rotates (counterclockwise) into the folding position due to the elastic force of the main spring 600
[0104] As in Fig. 11, when the headrest is rotated into the folded position, the reinforcing element 523 is inserted into the notch 541 and thus fixes the position of the headrest. Second embodiment

The locking element movement space 1223 accommodates the locking element disposed therein such that the locking element can rotate easily with respect to the headrest cover 1200.
[0118] The locking member moving space 1223 is divided and formed in the first headrest cover 1210 and the second headrest cover 1220.
[0119] Notches into which the first rod 110 is inserted are formed in the lower surface and rear lower end of the second headrest cover 1220. The notches are shaped to extend vertically through the second headrest cover 1220. The notches are formed in both sides of the headrest cover 1200. The notches prevent the headrest cover 1200 and the first rod 110 from interfering with each other when the headrest is folded down.
[0120] Furthermore, the button unit mounting parts 1214 and 1224 are separately formed on side surfaces of the first and second headrest covers 1210 and 1220. The button unit mounting part 1224 has a through-hole for the button unit extending laterally therethrough, into which a bezel 1531 for the button unit is inserted.
[0121] The bracket 1300 is mounted at the upper center of the second rod 120 of the support rod 100. The bracket 1300 is arranged obliquely behind the second rod 120 so that the front end of a base plate is positioned above the rear end thereof.
[0122] A main spring 600 is arranged on the left side of the bracket 1300. One end of the main spring 600 is held on the bracket 1300, and the other end is fixed to the second headrest cover 1220. An elastic force of the main spring 600 is applied to the headrest cover 1200, causing the headrest to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.
[0123] The locking element comprises a guide rod 1540 pivotally mounted on the bracket 1300, a sliding element 1510 slidably mounted on the guide rod 1540, and a locking device that allows the sliding element 1510 to move or not move on the guide rod 1540.

[0131] The headrest adjusting device of this embodiment of the present invention further includes a button unit so that a user can move the movable member 1520 outward.
[0132] The key unit comprises a bezel 1531, a key 1534 adapted to the bezel 1531 and a key spring 1533 which serves to move the key 1534 back.
[0133] The bezel 1531 has a guide opening 1531f extending transversely therethrough, into which guide projections 1534f formed on the key 1534 are inserted. The guide projections 1534f and the guide opening 1531f enable easy pressing of the key 1534. The guide projections 1534f can be formed in the upper and lower regions of the key 1534.
[0134] A push rod of the button 1534 may be split into two. That is, the push rod may include a first push rod and a second push rod 1534d. The first push rod is formed integrally with the button 1534, and the second push rod 1534d is formed to be separate from the first push rod. The second push rod 1534d includes a first contact part that contacts the first push rod and a second contact part that contacts the movable member 1520. The first contact part and the second contact part are not arranged coaxially and may be staggered in the vertical direction or forward or backward. The headrest cover 1200 may include a second push rod mounting part (not shown) so that the second push rod 1534d is not movable in the vertical direction or forward or backward directions in the headrest cover 1200.
[0135] The operation of the embodiment of the present invention having the above-described configuration will be described below.
[0136] When a user presses the button 1534 of the button unit to raise the headrest which is in an upright state as shown in Fig. 16, pressure is exerted on the movable element 1520, which is in contact with the second push rod 1534d of the button 1534.
[0137] When the movable member 1520 is displaced, the reinforcing member 1523 inserted into the notches 1541 comes out of the notches 1541.
[0138] When the headrest is unlocked, the sliding element 1510 is movable within the rod main body 1542. This means that the headrest cover 1200 can rotate or pivot around the second rod 120 of the support rod 100. Therefore, the angle of the headrest can be adjusted to various sizes.
[0139] When the headrest is moved to the desired position, the force acting on the button 1534 is removed and the button 1534 and the movable member 1520 are returned to the original position by the button spring 1533 and the movable member spring 1550.
[0140] So, as in Fig. 13, the reinforcing element 1523 is inserted into the notches 1541 and the position of the headrest is fixed.
[0141] This allows the headrest position to be adjusted, and the headrest can easily be moved forward or backward from its current position. A release mechanism is not required, allowing the device to be compact.
