Device (1) for determining a platoon vehicle, configured to determine a second vehicle to be organized in a platoon with a first vehicle, wherein the device (1) for determining a platoon vehicle comprises: - a memory section (5) configured to store unique information of a third vehicle, different from the first vehicle, in conjunction with the vehicle information of the first vehicle; - a vehicle detection section (32) configured to detect, as a candidate for the second vehicle, a vehicle with the same unique information as the unique information stored in the memory section (5) from the surrounding vehicles in an area around the first vehicle;- a detection section (31) configured to capture vehicle information relating to the candidate for the second vehicle detected by the vehicle detection section (32); and - a determination section (33) configured to determine whether the candidate for the second vehicle is the second vehicle to be included in the platoon, based on the vehicle information of the candidate for the second vehicle captured by the detection section (31) and the vehicle information of the first vehicle associated with the unique information of the third vehicle.
