Control circuit arrangement for parallel operating voltage regulators

Abstract

A power supply system can include several DC / DC voltage regulators (202 and 204) coupled in parallel to a load (208) and a control circuit arrangement (206) for controlling the parallel-operating regulators. The control circuit arrangement can include a first proportion control circuit (280), a second proportion control circuit (282), and a voltage regulation circuit (284). The first and second proportion control circuits can operate together with the voltage regulation circuit to each control the parallel-operating regulators to regulate a common output voltage. Furthermore, a first and a second proportion control circuit can operate together with the voltage regulation circuit to control a respective proportionate supply of the load current by the parallel-operating regulators.
