Abstract

An air conditioning system (1) comprises an air conditioner (10) with an air conditioning unit (13) that performs air conditioning operation and a control unit (11) that controls the air conditioner (13); an inference data reference unit that receives data (38) comprising air conditioning environment data (31), which is information about the environment in which the air conditioner (10) is installed; an inference device (35) that infers from the air conditioning environment data (31) a suggested setting (39) comprising at least two settings that correspond to a user's operating preference with respect to the air conditioner (10); and a communication terminal (20) that remotely controls the air conditioner (10). The communication terminal (20) comprises a display area that shows a plurality of symbols, each representing a function of the air conditioner (10).The control unit (11) causes a symbol for a suggested setting, inferred by the inference device (35), to be displayed in the display area, and when a user taps the symbol for the suggested setting, the control unit (11) controls the air conditioner (10) in accordance with the suggested setting corresponding to the symbol for the suggested setting.
