Abstract

A connecting element that, when connecting the heat exchanger and the pipe, suppresses the flow reduction from the pipe to the heat exchanger and can be universally attached to existing caps regardless of the condition of the solder material surface on the heat exchanger cap, as well as providing a heat exchanger equipped with it. The connecting element 80 connects a heat exchanger 1 and the respective pipe ends PE of an inlet pipe 2 and an outlet pipe 3 and has an inlet-side fixing section 83A, an outlet-side fixing section 83B and a main body section 81 that supports these in one piece.The inlet-side fixing section 83A is designed such that it can cover the outer circumferential surfaces of the inlet-side connection section 67A of the cap 60, which closes the end of the head container 11, and of the pipe end PE of the inlet pipe 2, and the outlet-side fixing section 83B is designed such that it can cover the outer circumferential surfaces of the outlet-side connection section 67B of the cap 60 and of the pipe end PE of the outlet pipe 3.
